Busiest January...Ever!

Usually the month of January is devoted almost exclusively to coverage of all the various Awards shows, but for some reason this year it seems as if there are an unusual amount of movies opening which require me to flex my interview muscles. And no complaints from me! I've had some stellar sit-downs with some of the biggest names in the movie & TV biz...all of which are going to be coming up soon on Sunrise. So stay tuned!
Juggling that with all the annual Awards frenzy has meant long hours, but I will confess that I had some special surprises at the 15th Annual SAG Awards red-carpet that made it all worth while. I ran into fiesty Emmy winner Kathryn Joosten (Emmy winner as "Karen McClusky" on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) and she had some choice words to say about the whole Actors Strike situation.. I told her, as a member of the Union I would vote for HER to be President! She's a spitfire who could get things done! Then my buddy Jamie Denton ("Mike Defino") turned up and I gave him a hard time for bringing his brother as his date and not my lovely friend, Erin...who happens to be MRS. Denton. I got to reconnect briefly with America Ferrara, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Andrea Bowen...but the happiest reunion was with my long lost friend, Jane Krakowski (from 30 ROCK). She & I worked together on soap operas back when we were both teenagers and I've been so proud of all her success on TV, film and Broadway. I was beaming like a proud big brother as we hugged and reminisced over "whatever happened to" some of our mutual friends. The Golden Globes are known for their raucous behaviour, but the SAG Awards are certainly the most festive and casual as far as I'm concerned!
Do you suppose February will be any quieter? If my date book is any indication so far, the answer is a resounding NO!
