Sunrise Family

Samantha Armytage is the co-host of Weekend Sunrise and the news presenter of Seven's national 4.30pm news bulletin.

She also works regularly on the road, covering breaking news stories such as the NRL Bulldogs rape crisis, through to the more light-hearted fashion week. She has presented the Sunrise, Morning, 6pm and Late News bulletins.

Samantha Armytage joined Seven in April 2003, after a stint working as the Sky News Political Reporter in the Canberra Press Gallery.

There she covered the political side of stories, including the Bali Bombing and the Iraq war. She also covered Canberra's devastating bushfires in January 2003.

Prior to Sky, Samantha worked as a news reporter and presenter at WIN Television in Canberra.

Samantha grew up in country NSW before going to boarding school in Sydney. She studied Communications at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, NSW.
